Candid-B Cream (clotrimazole, beclometasone) is used topically to treat moderate fungal infections. The medication eradicates fungus as well as alleviates other symptoms of the infection, such as itching, swelling, burning, and so forth.

This product is similar to Candid Cream but contains an extra ingredient to soothe infection symptoms:

• Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal medication that inhibits the growth and spread of a variety of fungi, including Candida.

Candid-B Cream can be used to treat most common Candida infections that also have accompanying side effects. While it is often obvious that an infection is fungal, in cases where there is doubt patients would do best to consult a doctor prior to initiating treatment---Candid-B Cream will provide no benefit in bacterial or viral infections, and the delay in treatment may cause harm.

• Repeat twice per day, or as often as a doctor recommends.
• Do not cover the application site with tight or airtight dressings or clothing.
• Do not apply other medicated products to the application site without explicit doctor approval.

Patients who buy Candid-B Cream can expect to see rapid alleviation of symptoms and complete healing within 4 weeks of starting treatment. Treatment does vary to some extent between two to four weeks, depending on the condition, its severity, and patient response to treatment.

If there is no noticeable improvement after two weeks of treatment, or if the condition worsens at any time during treatment, a doctor should be consulted. It's possible the infection is not fungal, or the fungus is resistant to the medication. Other treatments should be tried.

Potential Complications

As it contains a corticosteroid, there are more possible side effects from Candid-B Cream than from regular Candid Cream, though as both are topical serious side effects are quite unlikely.

Common side effects occur at the application site and typically pass within moments of application:

• Stinging
• Small bumps
• Redness
• Tenderness
• Flaking skin

The above are not cause for concern unless persistant or severe.

More concerning side effects are quite rare but warrant the attention of a doctor:

• Excessive hair growth
• Acne
• Thin or discolored skin
• Blistering, peeling, or oozing skin
• Vision problems
• Severe headache
• Increased thirst
